Dear HRA Family and Friends,
It is with great pleasure and pride that I extend an invitation to you to join Kevin Klump and his family for a celebratory mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish at 8:30 on Sunday, August 2nd. This mass celebrate’s his Candidacy to the major seminary in St. Paul where he will prepare to return as a diocesan priest here in Anchorage, Alaska!
Kevin attended HRA from kindergarten through ninth grade. He left to pursue his love for hockey, but his heart stayed with HRA in many ways. I had the privilege of being his Confirmation sponsor and witnessing his gradual but steady answer to the priestly call. In fact, I gave Kevin a key to our school chapel the summer he discerned with certainty his desire to become a seminarian! Indeed, he was in our St. John Paul II Chapel when he made his decision!
He transferred to the University of St. Thomas and attended the St. John Vianney minor seminary as a minor seminarian and enjoyed a Catholic Studies program much like the classical education he was receiving at HRA. He flourished and returned home to apply for the St. Paul Major Seminary in which he will hone his philosophy and theology knowledge for the next four years.
During his application, Kevin has graced this diocese and especially his alma mater, HRA, with his love, enthusiasm, drive, and piety for the richness of his Catholic faith. Please join me in congratulating Kevin in his Candidacy to continue his seminarian trek towards the priesthood.
God bless and keep you in the Palm of His Hand, Kevin. Pray for HRA with the certitude that you remain daily in our prayers. Your especial hope is that we continue to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. We promise to do so on your behalf.
Miss Neumayr, Principal
