Dear HRA Families and Friends,
It is with great joy that I share the news that two of our graduates, Mara Biegel and Michael El-Khoury wed at Holy Family Cathedral on Saturday, June 20th and enjoyed a gorgeous reception at none other than Holy Rosary Academy!
The green and carefully manicured lawns and flowers and plants and decorations put up by my summer crew of alumni, Michelle Tobia and Lee Cookson, were resplendent. Under the vision of Mr. Glen Biegel and his daughter, Mara, the campus was transformed into a gorgeous wedding reception. The huge white tent under which the guests danced, the tents under which the wedding party sat, and St. Dominic’s transformed into a sparkling and inviting buffet quite took my breath away when I arrived. Congratulations go to the many family members who stepped in to help Michelle and Lee Cookson in the last stages of the set-up.
The mass itself was simple and true. The music led by Mr. Gavin Duncan and a choir made up almost completely of HRA teachers, parents, and students sang sublimely. The wedding party comprised of mostly HRA former students and graduates was in fine spirits to transition from the lovely mass to the reception festivities.
It was a true privilege for HRA to share this historic day with our dear alumni, Mara and Michael. We wish them all happiness as they embark on this new chapter in their life. We only ask that they bring their children back to attend Holy Rosary Academy!!
Miss Catherine Neumayr, Principal
P.S. The school eagerly anticipates the next HRA couple to wed this coming October: Miss Jan Acosta and Mr. Jacob Zipay. Both have been graduated for nearly ten years, but continue to remain in touch with HRA and are including many of their former teachers in their special day. We are honored.
