The Holy Rosary Academy (HRA) Parent Association plays a crucially important role at our school. Not only are parents advocates for their children, but they also support the faculty and administration through volunteer activities. If a family chooses the discounted tuition agreement, they are obligated to complete volunteer work for the school, also known as “share hours”.
There are lots of ways to help HRA! Everything from driving on field trips, to substitute teaching, to helping with building maintenance, counts towards share hours. Parents are responsible for keeping track of share hours and submitting them to the office.
There are two ways to submit share hours! You can submit your share hours directly on the HRA Sycamore School site or you can submit a paper form to the front office. When a share hour form is completed and submitted, it will be reviewed by our business manager, and then recorded on the HRA Sycamore School site. Share hour statements will be sent out quarterly and are visible on the HRA Sycamore School site.
Every parent is automatically a member of the Parent Association and share hour commitments are:
- 0 hours IF you have paid the “no obligation” tuition
- 40 hours if you are a two parent home
- 20 hours if you are a one parent home or if a parent is deployed
